The Next Frontier of Communications Programs

Understanding the communications landscape has helped us develop programs beyond traditional public relations. We’ve created a proprietary methodology, Content Delivery Optimization (CDO), that focuses on original content development. This comprehensive communications program ties public relations, marketing, social media and lead generation together.

Recently, we drank our own champagne with the hope of discovering what was making most PR/communications programs tick these days. Through a survey of 500 communications pros, we took a look at what they were doing. We found that there is a growing divide between what PR pros think is effective and what their bosses and clients want.

Plus, there’s been recent press around the subject.

We strongly believe that companies need to rethink how they approach communications, and our team has begun to take  our original CDO program another step further. We have been fascinated with video as a content platform for some time. Why video?

  • According to Borrell Associates, video is one of the top three priorities for marketers in every company.

  • Forrester researcher, Dr. James McQuivey, estimates that one minute of video is equal to 1.8 million words.

  • According to Forbes, 59% of executives would rather watch a video than read text.

But, isn’t video creation expensive, time consuming and difficult?

Not with the right tool.

We’re fortunate to be partners with Magisto, an online video creation and marketing platform. What’s the best part of the platform? The ability to edit the final video on the fly for specific audiences or platforms. So, we’re playing with it and we created a video to compliment our recent survey. We're happy with early results:

Video creation is a natural extension of our CDO concept, especially with the potential of increased social media engagement. To that end, we foresee video as a viable element to content program offerings for our clients.

The video we are sharing today is a sneak preview of things to come and a great example of how we can package up compelling content. Stay tuned for more details about this service offering.
